ADULT CLASSES

Classes

Liz is a practising artist and printmaker who has also had many years of experience as a dedicated art teacher.

Courses are offered in drawing, printmaking and mixed media, where the structure allows for individual tuition. Absolute beginners are welcome as well as more advanced students. Different mediums are explored through demonstration, discussion and experiment, so that students' expertise can be developed. Students will be given a variety of resources for their inspiration including being taught drawing from life.

PAST CLASSES

Not listed here  also are the extensive drawing and printmaking classes Liz has offered in the past at Norman Lindsay Gallery and at various other galleries and workshop spaces.

Colour Frottage workshop

at Woollahra Gallery, Redleaf April 15th 2023

This was a workshop I delivered as one of 4 workshops on site as part of Conversations with Trees

Arboreal Narratives 2023 , The Tree Veneration Society  exhibition there, finishing Sunday 30th April.

Students used bark and dried parts of plants to rub over onto paper that had first been dyed with natural dye.

Students used crayons that had been created with an awareness of recycling plastic waste as well as of non- toxic colour.

Intaglio Printing

Blue Mountains Cultural Centre

Saturday 21 May 2022

10.30am-3.30pm

Experiment and learn new ways of drawing!

This printing workshop allows you to draw directly onto aluminium plates. The incised image is then bitten into the plate, allowing you to create expressive tonal areas as well as creating shadows and depth.

In this workshop you will learn how to make and register 2-plate prints, using two different methods; there will be drypoint plate followed by an aquatint on an aluminium.

All materials will be provided as well as step-by-step guidance.

Please note: If you are pregnant the workshop will be limited to the dry-point component only.

Keep an eye out for other upcoming classes in June and July 2023
